அமெரிக்க கரையோர பாதுகாப்புப் படைப்பிரிவின் முன்னர் USCGC Sherman என்றழைக்கப்பட்ட ‘ஹை என்டியூரன்ஸ் கட்டர்’ கப்பல் ஓகஸ்ட் 27ஆம் திகதி இலங்கை கடற்படைக்கு அமெரிக்காவினால் உத்தியோகப்பூர்வமாக கையளிக்கப்பட்டது.

The former U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Sherman was officially handed over to the Sri Lankan Navy at a ceremony held in Honolulu on August 27. A gift from the American people, the cutter is now the largest ship in Sri Lanka’s fleet and enhances Sri Lanka’s ability to patrol the seas. go.usa.gov/xUhTz
